Respect manages the national Child/Adolescent to Parent Violence and Abuse (CAPVA) Service Directory, providing information and contact details for services in the UK which support parents and carers who are experiencing CAPVA.
Child and Adolescent to Parent Violence and Abuse (CAPVA) is often a hidden harm and service provision is scarce. Most families feel they have nowhere to turn, and need to be at absolute crisis point before they call children’s services or report their child to the police.
Parents who haven’t accessed support said one reason they felt unable to get help was because they didn’t know where to go or what was available. Does your service offer this support? If so, we want to help make sure people find you.
The Respect Young People’s Service provides the National CAPVA Service Directory - a useful resource for parents, professionals and practitioners. The map provides information and contact details of services in the UK who support families experiencing violence and abuse from children and young people.
We want to ensure that as many services as possible that are delivering support to families experiencing CAPVA are on the map, making it easier for families to find support before crisis point.
If your service is already listed, please take a few moments to make sure your details are up to date.
If your CAPVA/CPA services are not on the map, or your details need changing, please fill in this form.
Please note that your details will only be used for the purpose of updating the service directory. If you have any questions or queries, you can email the RYPS team at [email protected]
