Maria Smith

Maria joined the Drive team in July 2025 as a Data Analyst. Prior to joining Drive, she worked in the legal sector as a Business Change Analyst with responsibility for the firm's case management system including change request management, product support and management information reports.  She also brings IT training experience having designed training courses for a broad range of IT systems and delivered training sessions via webinar and in person.

Alongside her paid roles Maria has had a number of voluntary roles in the charity sector including working as a tutor supporting visually impaired people as they learnt to use accessible software, running IT courses at a local library to help elderly people get the skills and confidence to go online and, most recently, helping run an ESOL English conversation club for women in Bristol from diverse international backgrounds who want to learn English and become more confident in their daily lives.

In her spare time Maria is a reluctant gym goer though has started to see the appeal of spin classes. She is a keen Italian learner and plant lover and is pleased to have finally acquired some 'green fingers' and the ability to actually keep the plants alive.
