Abbie joined Respect as a Drive Practice Advisor. Before stepping into this role, she
spent the last nine years in client facing roles working as a Drive Case Manager
and prior to that victim service roles, gaining hands-on experience supporting
individuals and families through some of their most challenging times.
Abbie is qualified as both an IDVA and YPVA and studied at Keele University where she
completed a degree in Criminology followed by an MA in Criminology and Criminal
Justice. It was during this time, while volunteering for a domestic abuse
charity, that her passion for the sector developed.
Abbie is driven by a commitment to effective risk management, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice. She believes strongly in approaches that not only keep people safe but
also recognise and respond to the impact of trauma.
Outside of work she like cats, coffee, and collecting cardboard cut outs! (and
alliteration!)
