Welcome to Trustees' Week!
As awareness continues to grow around perpetrator work, Respect has been through a period of growth as we continue to develop, deliver and support our members.
This has not come without its challenges, but we are lucky to have a fantastic Board of Trustees who we can rely on for strategic input to help steer us through another exciting year ahead.
To celebrate Trustees' Week, we spoke to our new Chair, Mary D’Arcy, and new trustee, Rufsana Begum, to see how things are going and what inspired them to join Respect as a member of the Board.
Mary D'Arcy - Chair of Trustees
Mary D’Arcy has worked for more than 30 years in Probation and Local Government and started her own consulting business in 2023. Mary’s work focuses on enabling leaders, Boards and executive teams, to lead within their organisations and across wider systems by building effective relationships.
Mary is also a trustee and treasurer for Brighton’s Women’s Centre, and brings a wealth of chairing and trustee experience. Mary has been involved in Domestic Abuse systems and service reviews within Local Authorities and has a track record of leading on equity, equality, diversity and inclusion (EEDI) within organisations.
